The AI Enterprise Browser: Inside HERE Studio & AI Center

For years, enterprise AI strategy has rested on one assumption: employees need to learn AI. Learn to prompt. Learn to phrase questions the right way. Ask, then dig through a wall of generated text hoping the answer is in there somewhere.

That assumption is backwards. That’s the starting point of the recent HERE and Now webinar, where our team showed how HERE Enterprise Browser is becoming a full AI-powered enterprise workspace, including a live look at HERE Studio, the AI app builder built right inside the browser.

Why AI Has to Come to You

Reading a wall of text was never how people process information. We scan a layout and act on what we recognize. Most employees will never become skilled prompt engineers because it's not their job.

An enterprise can't build an AI rollout on the hope that thousands of people will suddenly get good at talking to a chatbot. If AI adoption is going to work at scale, AI has to move to where people already are.

For almost every knowledge worker in regulated industries, such as banking, healthcare, or government, that place is the browser. HERE Enterprise Browser runs alongside Chrome and Edge rather than competing with them. It's a workspace built around the actual job. The apps people use and the data behind them, with AI embedded directly into it and governance built in from day one.

Two Rules Behind Every AI Feature

Every AI feature inside HERE Enterprise Browser is built against two design principles.

  • AI in its place. AI shows up exactly where people already work, instead of a separate mode they have to learn.
  • You are always in control. Every AI action is traceable and interruptible, and none of it happens without visibility.

SuperComplete: one-click autofill for your whole workspace

SuperComplete is the first rule in practice. It works like browser autofill, except instead of pulling from a saved address book, it pulls live context from everything running across a user's workspace. For example, filling out a support ticket normally means switching to a customer relationship management (CRM) system, copying a customer's details, and pasting them back in. With SuperComplete, one click fills the form using data already open in the browser.

In a user experience (UX) study with a contact center client, copy-paste alone accounted for nearly 25% of the average workflow, and form-filling across multiple apps added another 15% of a 10-minute call. SuperComplete targets exactly that time.

AI Center: your approved model, embedded, with full context

AI Center is the second rule made visible. It brings a familiar chat-style interface into the same browser, but it runs whatever model the organization has already approved, whether that's Copilot, Claude, GPT, or an internal model, directly in the browser sidebar, with full context of the apps on a user’s screen, not just the current tab.
Every interaction runs through the same governed layer. No content participates in an AI query unless a policy allows it, and sensitive data can be filtered out before a large language model (LLM) ever sees it, not after.

HERE Studio: From App Backlog to Same-Day Build

The same two rules extend past chat and autofill into how new apps get built.

Engineering backlogs are full of one-off dashboards and internal tools that never get built because something else is always a higher priority. Meanwhile, "vibe coding" tools let anyone spin up an app in minutes. That looks like a fix, right up until more building turns into more shadow AI and more ungoverned data, and IT ends up locking things down entirely.

HERE Studio's approach is simple. Leave systems of record exactly where they are. Salesforce keeps being Salesforce. ServiceNow keeps being ServiceNow. What changes is the interface layer on top.

A business user describes the outcome they want in plain language, and Studio builds an app that pulls from connected data sources and shapes it into a component. That component can be composed with others into a dashboard, called a Supertab. Studio already handles a set of standards most teams would otherwise have to build by hand.

  • Accessibility and responsive design standards
  • Theming and FDC3 interoperability
  • Safe libraries and secure data handling
  • Compliance by construction. Only approved AI models and data connectors, deployed straight into an environment admins already govern.

Here's what that looked like in the live demo.

  • One prompt: "an FDC3-enabled end-of-day charting widget with time range selector," became a charting app that stayed in sync with the rest of the Supertab and switched between light and dark mode automatically, replacing a third-party chart that wasn't built for the workspace.
  • Another prompt replaced a slow, hard-to-navigate Salesforce contact list with a streamlined widget built on the same underlying data.
  • One team member, who isn't a developer, built a full charting and analytics application in under 30 minutes.

What's Next

Our team also previewed two capabilities that extend the same governance model to more autonomous AI.

  • Intent-based FDC3. Apps define exactly what actions AI is allowed to take, rather than having an agent click around a UI guessing.
  • Headless agents. These handle repetitive, multi-step browser tasks in the background, with explicit approval required before anything critical happens and live visibility throughout.

Both keep AI in its place and keep people in control, even as it acts with less supervision. They also reinforce that the HERE is model-agnostic and app-agnostic. Swap in a new model or provider as your needs and requirements change.

HERE Enterprise Browser runs alongside consumer browsers like Chrome and Edge, giving organizations a governed layer where employees, business applications, and approved AI models work together with built-in security and data loss prevention.

What is HERE Studio?

HERE Studio is HERE's AI app builder for the enterprise. Users describe the outcome they want in natural language, and Studio generates an individual app or widget built on the organization's own data connectors, already compliant with HERE's accessibility, interoperability, and governance standards. Apps can then be published and composed into dashboards, called Supertabs, for a team or the whole organization.

Does HERE Studio replace systems like Salesforce or ServiceNow?

No. HERE Studio doesn't touch or replace systems of record. Data, compliance, and integrations stay exactly where they already live. Studio can build customized front ends on top of those systems, so employees get an interface designed for how they actually work without any changes to the backend.

What is SuperComplete?

SuperComplete is an AI feature in the HERE Enterprise Browser that works like autofill, but instead of a fixed address book, it pulls live context from everything open across a user's workspace to complete forms in one click, eliminating manual copy-paste between apps.

Is workspace context shared with AI models, and is that governed?

Yes. Any content that could be shared with an AI model is subject to the same data loss prevention policies as everything else in the browser. Admins control which applications can participate in AI context sharing at all, and sensitive content can be excluded before it ever reaches a model, rather than filtered after the fact.

Can I use my own AI platform, like an internal Copilot deployment, instead of HERE's AI Center UI?

Yes. Organizations can embed their own AI platform or UI into the browser's side panel in place of HERE's native AI Center, with workspace context made available through client-side APIs or MCP tools.

Is HERE model-agnostic?

Yes. Organizations can run Claude, GPT, Copilot, Gemini, or an internal model, and switch providers without adopting a new browser or toolset.

How long does it take to get HERE Enterprise Browser and HERE Studio running?

A proof of concept can typically be running within a few hours, and a full rollout in front of users in less than a week, even with a large number of apps, users, and data sources such as Salesforce, Slack, and internal systems.

Is HERE available on mobile?

Yes. The HERE iOS app is available today for organizations running the enterprise browser. iPad support is in testing, with Android phone and tablet support planned next.
